ABOUT ME

I’m Eunice Bueno, a Registered Psychotherapist based in Ontario. I am a highly attuned and intuitive therapist. My strengths include my holistic approach and unwavering dedication to assist all of my clients with genuine care and compassion. These therapeutic components serve to create an authentic and safe space needed to foster healing and growth.

Prior to becoming a Psychotherapist,  I worked as a Radiation Therapist for those undergoing cancer treatment. After going through my own dark night of the soul, I went through my own healing journey and made this monumental career change. This is when I found my true passion of psychotherapy.

For the past 11 years or so, I have had the opportunity to work with diverse groups of clientele. I worked in a hospital setting managing complex and crisis situations. I also had the experience of working in a women-centered non-profit organization where I helped clients with their substance use and trauma. I also worked as a youth counselor for those ages (14+) who were experiencing trauma and mental health challenges. While in these roles, I have been able to run group therapy sessions centered on mindfulness, trauma, safe coping and parenting.  I have also given seminars/workshops about being trauma-informed to various non-profit agencies around Toronto.  All in all, I have had extensive work experience in helping diverse and complex populations.

Currently, I am an adjunct professor at Humber Polytechnic in the Faculty of Social Work teaching about addictions, trauma and mental health.

On a more personal note, I immigrated to Canada from the Philippines during my later teen years and now I am a mother to one high-spirited child. I am a yoga enthusiast and enjoy dancing, painting, singing karaoke and paddle boarding. I like to embark on adventures like climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and sky-diving, although, the greatest adventure for me thus far has been motherhood.
